Meet the team
May Mauseth Johnston
May is the founding director of Alviss Consulting. May has over fifteen years experience researching and analysing energy markets, regulation and consumer issues in Australia. She has produced extensive analyses of energy prices, market developments, regulatory frameworks, concession arrangements and energy affordability. May holds an MSc in Public Policy from the London School of Economics.
Michael is the Data and Research Assistant. Michael undertakes research and report writing as well as maintaining our datasets. He is currently undertaking a Master of Energy Systems at the University of Melbourne. Michael is interested in all aspects of society’s transition to a low carbon energy future. In his spare time, Michael enjoys volunteering for local environmental organisations and causes.
Sophie is the Project Manager for the Mapping Disconnections project. She undertakes quantitative research, conducts spatial analysis, writes and designs publications as well as manages the website. She completed a Master’s degree in Environment at the University of Melbourne in December 2018. Sophie is particularly interested in the governance of natural resources in international contexts. During her free time, Sophie enjoys traveling, photography, and hiking.
